In 2013, my parent’s lost their house to a fire and six weeks later my Mom’s 16 month battle of pancreatic cancer finally came to an end.I was the oldest of three and the only girl. My Mom and I had a difficult relationship throughout my entire adult life. The last 16 months of my Mom’s life, we were finally able to amend our relationship and love one another. When I attended Motherless Daughters class in September 2013, I was very angry and I overwhelmed with grief. After completing the class, I was able to forgive my Mom for dying and leaving me. I no longer have to search for her love. Her love continues to surround me and I really never knew it until she died. Today I am blessed that I am able to find peace within, to love my three sons and my husband.
