Are you interested in writing for the MDM blog? If so, please take into consideration our blog image and video requirements. You must include at least 1 image or video with your guest blog submission.

Image Requirements

  • Blog posts that include a thematically related cover image are more likely to grab reader attention, so please submit a “cover” image with your post (this can be a photo, chart, screenshot, or a piece of theme art that represents the topic in a compelling way).
  • Must be a .jpg file and meet our size/quality requirements
  • Images must be a minimum of 600 x 315 pixels (recommended size: 1200 x 630 pixels).
  • Your images must:
    • Be directly relevant to the post content.
    • Be in full color.
    • Be adventurous, and inspiring
    • Be your own or you must have the right to use the images and/or video and allow us to use them.
    • If you’re including pictures of people, you must ensure that you have their permission to use them.

Video Requirements

  • Any video submitted with your post must be in one of the following formats: .3GP, .AVI, .DV, h.264, .MPEG2, .MPEG4, QuickTime, .WMV.
  • The maximum upload size is 100 MB, which is approximately 3 to 4 minutes in length.
  • There are several ways to send videos:



  1. Go to and click the “sign in” button. If you have a Google account (i.e., Gmail), sign in with your Google credentials. If you don’t have a free Google account, you will need to create one, using your email address.
  2. Upon signing in for the first time, you may be prompted to “start a channel,” which is the place where all your You Tube uploads will live.
  3. Click the “upload” button.
  4. Browse for your video and select the one you want to upload. Once published, copy the video link and send to .
