Over the years
So much has changed
But I promise you that
My love’s still the same
You try to hide
What you’re feeling inside
But I see through you
You can tell me the truth
Your tears start to fall
But I catch them all
When you start to fear
Remember I’m here
I’ll be with you every step of the way
When you can’t see
Just trust in me
I’ll be with you every step of the way
Rest in me
I’m all that you need
Put your hand in mine
And you will be fine
I will never let you go
When your world starts crashing down
I’ll still be around
I love you more than you know
I’ll be with you every step of the way
When you can’t see
Just trust in me
I’ll be with you every step of the way
Rest in me
I’m all that you need

Thank you Julie. You’ll never know how much those words mean to me.
Just now when I needed them the most.
Susie, I’m so thankful God spoke to you through these words. He gave them to me when I needed some encouragement, and it’s so wonderful to know He is using these same words to comfort others as well.
There are still days, less than two years in….that I want and need my Mom.
Me too – but it’s been a little over 7 years for me. I think the longing for our mom will always remain. Praying that you feel comforted today, Tina.
My name is Julie. It’s been Five years since my Mom left this earth. Her birthday is today. Love your words. They make me smile and cry at the same time.
From one Julie to another – thanks for your comment. I hope today, on her birthday, you are able to do something special to honor your mom’s life – even if it’s just something simple (like sharing a favorite memory with someone or going to your mom’s favorite restaurant). As your tears fall, remember that God continues to hold you.
