Flowers and Frisch’s Hot Fudge Cake

By: The Podcast Team

The Motherless Daughters Ministry blogger and volunteer podcast team member, Dottie Menkhaus, shares her reflections on two decades of journeying through mother loss. From a young teenager to being a woman in her thirties, Dottie has grieved her mother longer than she lived her life with her mother in it. Dottie’s vulnerability and generosity shine through in her retelling of rituals and celebration of her mother’s life.

Gina Ellis, a Motherless Daughters Ministry volunteer, has a candid conversation with Dottie about how she has navigated the last twenty years. This inspiring story includes resources and ideas that are helpful to gain new perspectives and heal from the impact of loss.

For more than 20 years The Motherless Daughters Ministry has touched the lives of women who have lost or never experienced the nurturing care of a mother. “The Journey Retreat: Healing the Wounds of Mother Loss One Step at a Time” was inspired by God and designed to be a catalyst for the grief journey.  Click here to register for the next “Journey,” being held April 28 – May 1, 2023.

The MDM tools and resources have proven themselves powerful and have created a strong community of people who support one another on the grief journey. After listening to the podcast, send us an email or leave a voicemail message from our website,  https://www.motherlessdaughtersministry.com/.
