Mother is the initial and most critical element in the development of an infant from conception. Narcissistic personality traits profoundly compromise the natural progression of developmental tasks. By the time the daughter of a narcissistic mother becomes aware there is a problem, her ability to establish and maintain relationships have already become severely compromised…but not impossible to heal.
This episode shines a light on behaviors and experiences that have long been sources of confusion and disappointment. It brings clarity to questionable memories and understanding to experiences that were difficult to describe.
