Gladys Bell Med, CFCS recently retired from Santa Maria Community Services after 19 years during which she served as a Center Director, Program Manager, Volunteer Manager and Human Resource Associate. Previously, she worked at a United Way home health care organization as case manager, supervisor, training coordinator and HR Associate. Earlier experiences were in County Extension.
Throughout her work history, Gladys has utilized her undergraduate studies in Family & Consumer Sciences, as well as her graduate degree in Human Resource Development. That background, coupled well with the skills gained as pastor’s wife, mother to 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, community member, school supporter and co-host for her husband’s live weekly radio Bible study broadcast.
Gladys brings to the Board abilities and skills as a manager, speaker, training facilitator, people skills, team member, and a great deal of compassion.
