My mother loss story begins when my mother was pregnant with me. During the 90s opioid crisis my mother became addicted to prescriptions which spiraled later into other substances. Her addiction has been the center of my life since I can remember. I currently am her only support as she navigates her road to recovery. I have started my healing journey with the goal of freeing myself from the guilt and shame that came with being a daughter of addiction.
