Growing up as the daughter of a narcissistic mother presented many challenges. After a prolonged custody
battle, my contact with her — and her deeply cult-like family environment — came to an end when I was 13,
allowing me to leave that high-control situation.
Having been raised in an abusive and unstable home, marked by maternal turbulence, I am no stranger to the
complexities of growing up without a safe and supportive mother. Through the steady presence of a loving
father, along with faith, friendship, writing, and music, I have found healing.
Today, I am a Psychology and Astrophysics student at UMass Amherst, as well as a dedicated songwriter, singer,
and bassist. I also contribute blogs and podcasts to the Motherless Daughters Ministry, a community that holds
a deeply meaningful place in my heart.
